Dr. Brian Golden is Board-Certified in Urology and fellowship-trained in minimally invasive surgery. Open-Ended No-Scalpel Vasectomy is one area of Dr. Golden's special expertise.  He has refined the technique in several important ways to maximize the success rate while minimizing pain and complications. 

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Washington (Seattle), he attended the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. He then completed two years of general surgery and four years of urology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. He subsequently completed the high-volume clinical fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic surgery with Urology San Antonio with emphasis on minimally invasive surgery for prostate, kidney and adrenal diseases.

Practicing in Sacramento since 2011, Dr. Golden joined Sutter Medical Group in 2014.  He provides urology services including vasectomy consultations and procedures at the Sutter Elk Grove Office.  Dr. Golden is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Urological Association (AUA), Western Section of the AUA, the Endourological Society, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists (AACU).
